When Copyrite's Tracy Jolliffe and Andrea Chivers first suggested that their colleagues might like to donate to Wave105's Mission Christmas instead of buying a secret santa gift this year, they didn't expect the idea to be quite as popular!
With everyone's donations gathered in and also boosted by a donation from the Directors, they had great fun spending the money, and Andrea, Tracy, and engineer Arthur Dibben delivered 71 toys this week, to a drop off point at Sainsburys Castlepoint where Wave105 were broadcasting live, and where Arthur was also roped into a live interview as Copyrite's 'official' spokesperson!
Tracy told us "..we have been overwhelmed by your generosity. It's a nice feeling that a child living in poverty, through no fault of their own, will have a gift (and for some, it will be their only one) to open on Christmas morning, thanks to your kindness. .....Here's hoping that they reach their target of 64,000 presents required, so that every under privileged child in the Wave 105 area will receive a present on the day."
Well done to the girls for suggesting this super idea.
There is still time to donate to this great cause, with many drop off points open until this Sunday 13th December
