We are Sailing. . .

We were pleased to sponsor Copyrite's resident father and son sailing team, Ken & Chris Cheney, when they competed in the Dart 18 European Championships in Grosetto, Italy, earlier this month.

Their boat was given a Copyrite makeover and then transported all the way to Italy in a 40' articulated lorry.

The Dart 18 is a small catamaran first designed and built in 1975. The competition involves 10 races over 7 days, and points are awarded in the same order as the finishing position, so 1st place gets 1 point, 2nd place gets 2 points, and so on. The worst 2 scores are removed and the remaining points determine the finishers overall place.

With 70+ entries, our boys did well finishing in 31st place, but their best position was 14th!

Ken told us "Every day the sun shone and the temperature was about 40 deg C, the wind was SW force 4-5, and the sea temperature was 25-30 deg C. We were sailing in shorts and T-shirts, it was perfect sailing weather!"

Down the Rose Road again

Once again Copyrite is taking part in the Rose Road mini Triathlon to help raise money for the Rose Road Association which provides services for disabled children across Hampshire and surrounding areas.

This year our team consists of Ava Lambert, Ian Stewart, Jen Darnell and Denise Day.
The event takes place on Sunday 13th September 2015 in and around the Totton Leisure Centre and the team need to raise a minimum of £50 between them for swimming 200metres, cycling 8 miles, and running 2.5 miles!

If you are able to spare a few £'s to support our team you can donate safely online here

Good luck team we are sure you will be as great as previous years!
