London to Brighton the hard way!

As mentioned in our last entry Copyrite's John Grey and Phil Ford cycled 75 miles from London to Brighton for charity this weekend, however not being the sort of chaps to do things by halves they were following an almost entirely off road event organised by the British Heart Foundation.

The guys were joined by 2 friends Bill Elliott and Dave Walker to make up a team of four.
You can get a flavour of the event from last years BHF video below.

John had this to say on Facebook - "Myself, Dave Walker, Philip Ford and Bill Elliot left London yesterday morning at 8:00 am along with 3,000 other riders. We stuck together for about 20 Miles then got separated at a bottle neck and Phil and Bill went on ahead. Dave and I settled into a rhythm and eventually stopped for lunch and a comfort break at 53 miles. After about an hour we continued and finished at about 4:00 pm joining Phil and Bill, who had not stopped for a rest, in The Alibi on the sea front for a well deserved Beer.
Stats for the day from Dave's Cycle Computer.
Total Distance Ridden 77.95 miles - Total Time In The Saddle 6 hours 52 minutes
- Average Speed 11.35 MPH"

Some pictures of the event below

John and Dave at the start (looking clean!)

lunch at 53 miles (obviously taking it far too easy!)
Phil and Bill at the finish - ready for a pint!
well deserved medal guys!

The British Heart Foundation has always been an important charity for John especially as his son was born with a congenital heart condition which needed a life saving operation at 3 days old.

If you would like to support the charity you can still sponsor the guys on the fundraising page

Sports News Update!

L to R - Chris, Ava, Scott, John
Copyrite's impromptu Tri Team, Chris Beale, Ava Lambert, Scott Bennett and John Grey gave a super performance at the Rose Road Triathlon at the weekend.
Finishing in 7th place out of 15 teams their final time was 3 hours, 2 mins and 14 secs!
You can still sponsor them on their justgiving page in aid of The Rose Road Association

The guys are spending time recovering this week, although for John it will be short-lived as this weekend coming (21st September) he has a 75 mile off road bike ride from London to Brighton in aid of the British Heart Foundation along with Copyrite Director Phil Ford.

John's no stranger to offroad biking!
If you would like to donate towards this cause you can do so on John's fundraising page.

Also breaking personal records this weekend was Copyrite's Denise Day at the very hilly (and windy and wet!) Purbeck Marathon, when she finished in 5 hours and 46 minutes, and getting herself a new marathon PB into the bargain!

Struggling up Swyre Head against the wind!

Denise was running the marathon to raise money for Poole Hospital Charity - if you would like to help, you can still donate on her fundraising page.

Thanks to everyone that has supported our fundraisers this year!

Copyrite Goes For Gold!

Copyrite has recently achieved a top level Gold Certification from Ricoh.

The Ricoh Certification Programme identifies dealers that operate to the highest standards both internally within their business and externally to their customers.

Dealers must exceed customer expectations through a market leading service offering to achieve the Ricoh recognition of investment in people, processes and technology from a customer service perspective. The certification process involves rigorous assessment and annual audits to ensure that quality standards are maintained.

Copyrite had to demonstrate commitment to the following core values:
  • Achievement of industry best practice

  • Customer-centric systems and processes
  • Commitment to customer feedback and continuous improvement
Ian Stewart, Director of Copyrite explained, "Customer experience doesn't stop the moment a Ricoh document solution is purchased or leased. Copyrite supplies and maintains the entire product range at prices to suit all budgets and also runs active programmes of printer and photocopier repair and refurbishment to standards that meet or exceed their original specification.

He continued:

Valued customers require a high level of customer support to ensure that the benefits of their Ricoh solution are maximised across the term of the agreement. The Ricoh Customer Service Gold Certification ensures that our customers experience an outstanding level of customer service and technical support with Copyrite"
