Copyrite- Then and Now

It was great to see Phil’s face grinning up at us from the pages of the Summer edition of Ricoh’s Summit magazine! The article featured some interesting insights into Copyrite’s beginnings, as well as some much appreciated praise concerning the companies continued growth.

Copyrite has come a long way since it was started by Phil Ford and Ian Stewart back in 1993, but Phil says they saw the potential of the digital advancements of the mid-nineties and their early move into IT has allowed them to cater for a wide range of customers.

Today, Copyrite provides services to over 1,500 customers across the UK. Criterion, the separate IT branch of Copyrite, has allowed continued growth and according to Phil, the company’s ability to provide Managed Print Services is what helps the Copyrite to continue to grow.

Dorset Business Awards- Launch

Copyrite are the proud headline sponsors of the launch for the 2011 Dorset Business Awards. The launch event was held at Lulworth Castle on the 15th of June and many attended to celebrate the achievements of last year’s winners and to find out the categories for this years awards. Speakers included Peter Scott of Dorset Chamber, James Weld of Lulworth Estate and Phil Ford of Copyrite, as well as other sponsors Refreshed Media, the Daily Echo and Wave 105. One of 2010’s winners, Graham Whiffen of Hive Beach CafĂ©, also gave a speech on winning a 2010 award.

This year will be the 17th Annual Dorset Business Awards, and is the sixth year in a row that the awards have been organised by the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the high volume of entries last year indicates that the honours are highly valued!

The final awards ceremony for this year will be held on the 24th of November at a gala dinner.

Coda Charity Golf Day

Members of the Copyrite team took part in a charity golf event on the 12th May, with proceeds going towards Coda’s Music Therapy Project. The event took place at Chewton Glen Hotel in Highcliffe and was sponsered by Princecroft Willis, and Copyrite were delighted to take home first prize!

The Copyrite team consisted of :

Coda has provided Music Therapy for individuals for over a decade and has worked with thousands of people, but since moving to their new site they have had to provide most of their services via a portacabin. Money raised from the golfing event will contribute to the refurbishment of the old stable block on Coda’s new site in order to provide even better quality of care.
