We've got our head in the clouds!

Copyrite’s IT division, Criterion, is taking the next step in its plan to rollout Cloud based computer services to customers. Having done this in a low key manner for the last two years, we are now expanding the services and improving the way in which they are managed.

Have a peek at

Copyrite is expanding...

And not just because of the amount of cakes and chocolates circulating the building during the festive season! We are very pleased to welcome 3 new members to the Copyrite team, Francesca (Frankie!) and Bethan in Service Admin, and Ian who will be working with our IT Department. All 3 have already made a fantastic start here at Copyrite and we very much enjoy working with them.

Congratualtions to our very own Adam Willsher who very recently became a proud father to a gorgeous baby girl! We wish Adam and Katie the best of luck with everything to come in the future and hope they enjoy their first Christmas with their new daughter.

Marathon Task

Copyrite's Denise Day has been lucky enough (lucky? is that the right word?) to get a charity place in next years London Marathon. She will be running to raise money for the charity Asthma UK.
(Asthma may not seem like a serious condition for those that don't have it but three people a day die from asthma. Asthma UK funds research and offers support because 90% of asthma deaths are preventable.)
Denise follows in some large footsteps too as several of the Copyrite staff have run the London Marathon in previous years, including Phil Ford, Ian Stewart, Adam Willsher and Phil Wadsworth.
Apart from asking for donations her fundraising plans include Pizza Mondays (selling homemade pizza slices - which are going down nicely thankyou!) selling cupcakes, and collecting items to sell at Car Boot Sales.
If you would like to join the rest of the Copyrite staff in showing your support for Denise in her first attempt at a marathon (which would be very much appreciated!) you could make a donation via her Virgin MoneyGiving page.
Or maybe just pop along for a slice of pizza?. . . .only £2!

the Copyrite team consisted of Phil Ford, Ian Stewart, Adam Willsher, Diane Littlecott, John Grey, Denise Day and originally Katie Clark, but as Katie was injured in training Ricky Beach stood in for her at the last minute.

Well we all managed to finish, with the following times, in finish order.
Adam Willsher - 1:26:57 (4430th place)
Phil Ford - 1:29:54 (5560th place)

Shake, Shake, Shake the Toner. . . . .

Copyrite will soon be rolling out a small but important campaign encouraging all our customers to give their Toner Cartridges a good shake before replacing them.
By doing this, it is estimated that an extra 10% of toner can be gained, in some cases this is enough for 1000 copies - saving money and resources.
And if you do it to music, maybe tone up your self as well!

Copyrite- Then and Now

It was great to see Phil’s face grinning up at us from the pages of the Summer edition of Ricoh’s Summit magazine! The article featured some interesting insights into Copyrite’s beginnings, as well as some much appreciated praise concerning the companies continued growth.

Copyrite has come a long way since it was started by Phil Ford and Ian Stewart back in 1993, but Phil says they saw the potential of the digital advancements of the mid-nineties and their early move into IT has allowed them to cater for a wide range of customers.

Today, Copyrite provides services to over 1,500 customers across the UK. Criterion, the separate IT branch of Copyrite, has allowed continued growth and according to Phil, the company’s ability to provide Managed Print Services is what helps the Copyrite to continue to grow.

Select the Print Area

Seventh (and last!) in a series of Quick Green Tips from Ricoh to help save money and resources in the office

Select the Print Area

If you want to print Web pages or Excel files, select the print area before pushing the Print Button. This ensures that the right pages are printed and waste is avoided.

For the production of 1,000 kg of copy/print paper, 11,134 kWh of electricity is used. That is the same amount of energy used by an average household in 10 months.

Double Up

Sixth in a series of Quick Green Tips from Ricoh to help save money and resources in the office

Double Up

Make it a habit to copy/print double-sided. Duplex copying/printing saves paper - but thats not all. It will allow you to cary less weight in your briefcase, and your files will take up less space in the office cabinets.

About 25% of what we throw away is paper.
